asheville, stay weird, always. finding fun patches and making plans. walking in the moonlight, walking through hendersonville, walking one on one with different family members i haven't seen in way too long.

london in the sunshine was like nothing else.
early morning walks through hyde park, trees and trees and trees. botanical gardens, the changing of the guard, being in the same field of tulips that i was at twenty years ago. life is wild. getting a uniqlo bag, shopping at m&s, visiting harrod's after so so long. my other kind of art museum.

photos where i do not recognize myself, the photo on my iphone looks like it was taken 20 years ago-- i look like my old self, happy. everything seems hazy, pleasant. a photo my mom takes of me, i am shocked at my own beauty. i am tall and curvy and happy, alit by the sun and as if from within. we thought it was going to rain every day, but it never did. just one sunny day after the next, enjoying the aperol spritzes and company, missing no one, listening to old stories and making new memories. for someone who spent way too long hating herself, a victory. climbing through the old part of the city, all white washed. the charm of the old and the bright sun on the new part of the city.

geiranger.
climbing two hours up stone spirals built by nepalese sherpas to storseterfossen waterfall. the feeling of achievement, one foot after another, drinking straight from the waterfall. going into every store, finding my ceramic statue to bring home, absolutely beautiful. taking a cruise of the fjords with my mom, one beautiful view after the next, onwards and onwards and onwards. absolutely obsessed and besides the darkened days of winter, love it all.

iceland.
the curve of the mountains, the shocking blue skies, geothermal activity, living inside a science and history class, tectonic plates. rainbow streets in reykavik. the golden circle, taking tons of notes for when i bring him back. the jewels of the north in akureyri, singing and listening to music. walking around the ship.

a beach weekend in ocean city. listening to noah kahan and kacey musgraves while he drives us down a darkened road away from assateague. fires by the beach, s'mores, late night walks on the boardwalk, early mornings to listen to the ocean, shhh. road trips home with my favorite person. biscuits and putting everything away when we get home. a trip to ikea. the magic of every day.

what a year for travel this has been. travel, time with loved ones, live music. magic. onwards, onwards.
