i had been thinking it on the drive over, the casual saturday-ness of it all, waking up and crossword puzzling and drinking tea. and then i started getting a headache that turned into a migraine at his house, and i was thinking it the whole time he put me in a cool dark room and made me tea and brought me advil and let me sleep while he made lunch and brought it down and then spooned me and then i told him i loved him.

and tomorrow i get on a plane (which is one of my favorite sentences of all time).
