it was so, so good, and needed. to spend time with my parents, just us, alone. because life is short and you never know. to shopping and walks all over, to capers and yellow striped towels and feet in the ocean.

the oceanside life. i didn't even realize how much i missed it. and now i'm back to the city, back to work tomorrow, back to a day of cold, gray rain.

but my heart is warm, and a new winter coat has been ordered, and i'm going to let those big and little things carry me through for a while.
